Play! Genius programming schoolTestimonials from parents

  • My child helped other students who were working on tasks.

Apart from just operations, there were a lot of things for childen to learn, such as following directions, making the same moves, collaborating and really listening to conversations. It was good that my child took care of other students who were working on tasks. She cheered up other students and I believe she had a feeling of achievement when she was able to have other friends line up in single formation.

  • It was a very good class that they cheered for their friends and they helped each other.

It was the second time for my children, and they had been looking forward to it. There were many tasks to direct People (the character that they drew), and they worked on it very hard. They took a little longer to decide People’s left or right direction. It is great that children can enjoy play, and that they can study at the same. The game they pl ayed looked very fun. I had an image over programming that a person makes programming alone, but in this class, they cheered for their friends and they cooperated, which was very good. Thank you so much.

  • Children could concentrate on the program and they communicated with each other very well.

I thought that children could communicate well with each other when the curriculum was composed mainly of group work. The facility was also nice because the students’ work area was well lit.

  • Students were helping each other.

My child did really well. He talked to other students, touched a tablet, and looked like he was enjoying the class. It was good that he spontaneously tried to mingle with other students. Students were helping each other. He usually asks parents when he is learning as an individual, but it is fun here because without asking parents, students create a group, make one “People”, cooperate with each other, and achieve a goal.

  • The tasks are designed well because children cannot only work with tablets but also can create something new as a team.

There was a good atmosphere in which everyone discussed and taught each other to decide next actions. Above all, they looked like they were having fun. It was really good that students taught each other within a team, made the same move, communicated, and generated a good atmosphere in which they could create something new without learning from a teacher.

  • My child enjoyed programming more by doing it with friends than by doing it individually.

It was a good opportunity to experience programming. My child enjoyed programming more by doing it with friends than by doing individually. I want her to join the class again because she can only experience working with several “People” (drawn by each student) in group work. She also said it was fun to move “People” with friends.

  • I felt that there was learning beyond just programming.

Children appeared to be having so much fun all the time. After they learned a move, they played a game that used the move, which was very good. They were a little confused in judging right and left directions from a viewpoint of their People. It was really good that this was more than just learning solo programming. This was also engaging with teachers and cooperating with friends. He had so much fun and he even asked me: “when is the next class?”

  • My child was interested in “People” (the character drawn by her) which moved with my child’s friends.

My child was interested in the “People” she created that moved around with her friends, and she tried hard to operate her ‘People” well, and it looked like it was a fresh feeling for her. She was thinking about her next action and what she wanted to do the next time after she had her “People” bump into her friends’ “People”.
